A Gift From The Blue Nymph

She made me happy when I drank her with wine and honey, talkative, relaxed and physically numb. After taking a bath, I suddenly became very tired, went to bed and fell asleep deeply. Four hours later, my mind awoke.   »A garden, a small lot of land, clearly arranged, fenced and healthy green. From above, I see myself caring for the plants, watering them. Beyond the fence there is nothing, but an endless foggy whiteness. I realize the unusual setting - exceptional even for a dream - and become instantly lucid. The garden vanishes, just the light remains. It is a wonderful state of bliss and freedom, but after enjoying it for a while, I become bored, so I start making things.«

»Stones, plants, animals, landscapes with green hills, trees and paved walkways under a radiant blue sky... it happens so fast, in an explosion of thought, multiplying with itself. The new universe unfolds like a hatching butterfly spreading its colorful wings for the first time. My perspective shifts and I become part of the world I've surrounded myself with. From the road fork I am standing at, I lose myself exploring this new dimension, which seems similar to the one I know, yet feels so very different.«
 
When I finally awoke, I estimated that the whole experience lasted about two hours, which is extremely long for a lucid dream. I woke up once in between for a short time though - probably noise again, but was able to seamlessly resume. I forgot almost all of what happened in the later parts after being awake for a while, but the most important part - the beginning - is still as vivid to me as it was when it took place. I should have written it all down as early as possible, but I was too enchanted to care, yet the memory that remains is one of my most precious treasures. I surely didn't expect this surprising gift, yet I heard that the ancients considered the subsequent sleep to be sacred.
 
It was my first and for the time being last date with the lady from the Nile. I concluded that the overall experience was too seductive to be repeated soon, then my interest got caught by other things.
